Wendy Goldman Scherer
Analyst. Strategist. Partner
Wendy founded Scherer Cybrarian in 1995. She knew from her years as a partner with Bozell Worldwide that there was a great need for knowledge synthesis and business research that was more than a mere information dump. The business has grown and expanded over the years to include primary research, GIS, news aggregation and monitoring, and much more. But what she loves the most is social media research. (Don’t laugh. Everyone should love their work as much as Wendy does!) Scherer has been working with clients for many years now on social media monitoring and reporting and, best of all, social focal reporting.
And that leads us to today. Social media research has become an integral part of many agencies and brands. As our client base continues to grow and the needs of our clients continue to get more complex, Wendy knew they were on the right track. And so, Scherer Cybrarian decided to spin off this fast-moving, high energy part of the business into The Social Studies Group. Wendy leads the client service for the group (and is available for speaking gigs!).
Angela Walseng
Strategist. Analyst. Partner
Angela Walseng had been serving as Scherer Cybrarian’s Director of Social Media Research. (And doing a bang up job, we might add.) Now, as a partner in this new company, Angela brings intense knowledge, curiosity and energy to The Social Studies Group.
Her background in international communications (having worked abroad for six years as a marketing manager for a multi-national telecom), public relations and social relations doesn’t hurt either. She is a deep thinker – and brings enormous energy to every project and challenge The Social Studies Group takes on.
